BARGAINS AND PICKPOCKETS

PORTA PORTESE

Rome's (in)famous Sunday flea market.  Great bargains but watch out for pickpockets. As you can see below, the police are always on the lookout.

My daughter, Sicilian-Japanese singer Sayaka Alessandra  http://www.sayakaalessandraofficial.com/  wearing a warm   woollen sweater which she got in Porta Portese for 8 euros!

  4. I've heard about Roman pick pockets. Something we don't see too often in Kansas.

  6. That archway is simply gorgeous. I know there are pickpockets but haven't ever had first hand experience. Thank goodness. I love that sweater on your daughter. I'm not sure how much that would be in dollars but it sounds like a price I would pay.

  7. I have never been pick pocketed. Sounds a bit bizarre. But the place looks fun and historic.

  14. Once I've been to such flea market in Spain and found it very nice. Here in Russia such markets work during all the weak and sometimes prefered more than stores. Lovely sweater!
