THE UNKNOWN SIDE OF ROME

The EUR (Esposizione Universale di Roma) is an area of Rome built during Mussolini's rule.  It is relatively unknown to tourists yet many museums, churches and historical buildings can be found here.  One such building is the so-called "square" Colosseum, also called the "Swiss Cheese" Colosseum.

This is the Obelisk on the famous road Cristoforo Colombo, which connects Rome to the beach resort Ostia.

The  Passeggiata del Giappone  (Japanese Path) where you can find many cherry blossoms in this period.
