NEW BIG NAME IN ITALIAN FASHION ... MARIU' DE SICA!!


Here are samples from the first fashion show of MARIA ROSA DE SICA:   a woman's collection inspired by the 1950s song "Parlami d'Amore Mariù"  which her grandfather sang. Her grandfather was VITTORIO DE SICA whose movie "Bicycle Thieves" won an Oscar for Best Foreign Film. 
As you can see  from the long dress kimono style,  Maria Rosa was inspired by Oriental designs.

Maria  Rosa comes from a very talented  family, her own father CHRISTIAN DE SICA is a very popular  and adored Italian actor/showman.  My husband, who is Japanese, loves his movies.  We had the pleasure to meet Christian in Testaccio, Rome and we took the opportunity to take pictures with him. 











Here I am with Christian de Sica in a cafè in Testaccio.  He was kind enough to wait until my  husband ran home and got the camera so we could take a picture with him!

  1. I love the collar shirts! The kimono skirt is my style:) I wish I could have met Christian too, I love the way he sings "You make me feel so young" and other swing songs. I've listened to them all on Youtube. I've seen him on the Tale e Quale Show on Italian TV. He is so simpatico!
