Christmas Lunch at a Baglio

A baglio is a Sicilian farmhouse. Most of them are from the feudal days when the rich landowners (barons) hired farmers to work for them. There are many all over Sicily, they have been converted into Agriturismo (farmhouses) with restaurants, swimming pools and rooms to rent.

One of these baglio held a delicious Christmas lunch. It's just out of our town, in the middle of beautiful greenery.  I took advantage to wear my pretty red dress from Fashionmia an online clothing shop where you can get the most gorgeous dresses and other apparel.

The dress seems made for me, it fits me perfectly, no adjustment required. It arrived exactly on time and within only a few days, so I was able to wear it for Christmas.

This is the first dessert: semifreddo al torroncino.

This is the second dessert:  panettone, pandoro and custards.

After dessert we were sent outside to get freshly roasted chestnuts and coffee.

  4. And what, apart from desserts, was on the menue? Meat? Fish? Pasta? Legumi? Verdure? Insalate?
The red dress is perfect for you, and perfect for Christmas - a great find!
Did you change into pants and a jumper after the meal, to go out and collect your chestnuts and coffee?
I love the idea of a Christmas lunch out in campagna!
